Abstract
The purpose of this study was to mass production of insoluble glucan from S. mutans by immobilization. S. mutans was immobilized by cubes of 28 polyacrylamide and coated-with-same polyacrylamide. The insoluble glucan obtained 1,13 g per one liter in TH medium with 5 % sucrose, which was. mainly a-1,3 bonded glucan by IR and TLC analysis and screening of a-1,3 glucanase with this a-1,3 glucan, which was sole carbon source of minimal medium.
